I don’t know how this slipped through the cracks! This was one of my favourite elopements!
Adventure-loving Adrienne and Neil tied the knot at Neil’s family farm in the Klaserie Reserve, with the beautiful African bush as the backdrop for their elopement. Adrienne fell in love with Klaserie after her first visit with Neil, so it was the obvious choice for their wedding. They shared their heartfelt vows under a majestic thorn tree, surrounded by family. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed cocktails in the bush. This was followed by a delicious dinner under a canopy of stars. The fusion of tastes and scents combined with the ambient sounds of the bush created a feast for the senses.
They incorporated unique touches throughout their special day. The confetti was bushwillow seeds that they had collected on the property. They served signature cocktails named after their dog and cat at cocktail hour. They also printed out a map of the night sky on their wedding night.
Their special day was a testament to their love for each other. Their safari elopement serves as an inspiration for couples seeking a wedding celebration that encapsulates their unique love story amidst the beauty of nature. It was a truly unforgettable day!
A side note… Adrienne & Neil are such a wonderful couple and thanks to Covid, we got to work together for longer than expected. They made all of us suppliers feel like we were part of the family and I don’t think any of us felt like we were actually working.
From my side, the rest of the team were so great and we had the best time working together. They were:
Photographer – Justin and Simone Photography | Makeup – May’s Beauty by Monica | Hair – Rootz Hair | Flowers & décor – MVR Events | Printing – JP Design | Catering – OEMF Catering | Cake – Koeke & Krummels (Cakes & Crumbs) | Planning, on the day coordination – Runaway Romance | Wedding officiant – Runaway Romance Marriage Officers
